Elements of Power: how to play, rules and odds
Elements of Power is a free ring game on Loot Yeti that runs in a phone browser. Each spin of the element reel moves the water, earth or fire ring one step forward, moves all three (the Joker), does nothing (air), or takes a step off every ring (the skull). The three rings add up to the board's value, which you can cash out at any time.
How do you play Elements of Power?
- Set the total bet with − and + (0.10 to 100.00 in play money) and tap the yellow spin button. The reel in the middle stops on one symbol.
- Water, earth and fire each move their own ring one step forward. The Joker moves all three rings forward at once. The values of all three rings add up to the cash-out.
- Air leaves the rings as they are. A skull takes one step off every ring that has progress.
- Cashout collects the whole board and empties every ring. Part Cashout needs a ring with two or more steps: only those rings step back by one and you are paid the difference, while rings at one step stay put and play continues.
- Fill a ring's last step for an automatic award: water pays +7×; earth and fire start a bonus game where you tap Click to spin and the reels stop on a multiplier (earth 10× to 99×, fire 100× to 999×).
Elements of Power rules and controls
| Ring | Steps | Value per step (× bet) | Last step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Water | 4 | 1.55, 4.85, 10 | pays +7×, then the ring steps back to 10× |
| Earth | 6 | 2.5, 7.7, 16, 27.5, 44 | bonus game: 10× to 99× plus the 44× step, then the ring empties |
| Fire | 8 | 4, 12, 28, 52, 85, 133, 200 | bonus game: 100× to 999× plus the 200× step, then the ring empties |
- Every spin is a new bet. The bet can change only while every ring is empty.
- A bonus game pays the multiplier the reels stop on plus the ring's previous step (44× for earth, 200× for fire), and the ring empties. Water's award leaves the ring at 10×.
- A Joker can complete several rings in one spin. Their awards are shown outer ring first and paid together as one payout.
- After a Part Cashout or an automatic payout, both payout buttons stay locked until the next spin. Leaving the game and opening it again unlocks them.
- Each payout is capped at 1,206× the bet (120,600.00 at the maximum bet) and rounds down to the cent. The cap only matters when one Joker completes the earth and fire rings together.
- Autoplay (the A button) plays a set number of rounds and can stop early on a balance loss or a board multiplier you choose. The lightning button switches on Quick play for faster spins.
- Each spin's outcome is fixed from HMAC-SHA256 of a server seed, your client seed and a spin counter. The bet history reveals each seed and the board before the spin, so every spin can be checked.
What are the odds in Elements of Power?
Elements of Power has a return to player (RTP) of 97% before the cap and rounding, so the house edge is 3%. Water, earth, fire and the Joker have fixed chances on every spin: water 12%, earth 11.5%, fire 9.394% and the Joker 1.5%.
The skull's chance depends on the board, from 10.9% to 23.4%, with air taking the rest (42.2% to 54.7%). It is set so that every spin, from every board, is worth 97% of the bet on average. Cash-outs only move value from the board to the balance, so the 97% holds for any cash-out strategy, before the cap and the rounding.
Bonus multipliers are not equally likely: low ones are common and the top of each range is rare. The average is 17.37× in the earth bonus and 147.92× in the fire bonus, before the previous step is added.
Payouts round down to the cent. Automatic awards and any cash-out at a bet that is a multiple of 0.20 lose nothing to rounding. Small bets with frequent cash-outs do: cashing out after every lit ring at 0.10 returns 96.325%.
RTP is a long-run average over many spins. A single session can end well above or well below it.
Is Elements of Power free?
Yes. Elements of Power is free to play on Loot Yeti. It uses play money only: there is no purchase and there are no prizes.
